About the Owner

Heidi Sheffels, LMT

Heidi has been in Practice as a 0727141245Health Care Practitioner and Clinic owner for over 29 years.  She opened this Clinic about 16 years ago.

A 1990 Graduate of the Utting School, in Seattle, she was taught to understand and treat people in pain. Whether its from an Auto Accident, a Sports or Work related Injuries. Heidi believes most people’s pain can be relieved with focused, hands-on direct quality care.

Heidi sees her clinic as part of an Olympia community team and appreciates working with other local Doctors of Medicine, Chiropractic and Osteopathy, as well as Physical Therapists and Trainers. Her Advanced Training in Sports Medicine from Whitworth University, where she also studied and had hands on experience as a Student Athletic Trainer for all sports offered at Whitworth, including being trained as an Emergency Medical Technician-Defibrillator (EMT-D) with the South Orange Rescue Squad in Chapel Hill, NC, all gives her the first hand experience & understanding of what people go through in a variety types of injuries and pain.

When asked what she hopes to achieve at her clinic, Heidi did not hesitate,  “Our goal, at Steamboat Health & Wellness is simple, it’s to get people out of pain and into wellness, as quickly and effectively as possible. That way people can get on with their live, with less overall pain or discomfort distracting them. There’s nothing better than seeing a smile on their faces when they leave our clinic, knowing we helped make a difference in their lives…”

She is a member of the National Association of Professional Women and has received the “Woman of the Year in Healthcare and Medicine” Award from Who’s Who. She also enjoys working with Physician Direct Services, helping Attorneys in Western Washington with Medical Record Reviews and settling cases related to Muscular Injuries. Having served as PTO President for Steamboat’s Griffin School District, and as a founding partner for Restoration Hope, a local non-profit focused on bringing the local community together, including bringing the Steamboat Seniors together to tell old stories and rekindle their relationships on a monthly basis.  Heidi has always been active in building a strong and healthy community. She truly enjoys living in the Steamboat Community with her 4 boys and husband of 30 years.
